On 1 January 2000, after completion of his law studies in Leyden, Peter-Paul joined De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek Advocaten as a lawyer, where he worked in the general litigation and the international financing groups. In 2003 Peter-Paul joined De Haan Advocaten & Notarissen in Groningen, He has been a partner since 2009. Peter-Paul specializes in Business Law and Contract Law.

He advises his clients and assists them in litigation. Frequent matters in Peter-Paul's practice include acquisitions, setting up partnerships, and demergers/disputes among shareholders. Peter-Paul's motto is that a well drafted contract can save a great deal of cost in the future. Better safe than sorry. If necessary, of course, Peter-Paul does not shy away from litigation or from remedies such as attachment. Peter-Paul has completed the Grotius Corporate Structures specialist course and advises and litigates both in Dutch and in English.
